Perfume and Flowers…

I'm currently working my way through an on line photography course. I have just submitted assignment two and was really happy with my feedback and results…

I thought I would share some of the photos I took for it. I only had to submit one but I really enjoyed taking the photos…

Happy Friday all. Have a great weekend.

Throw back Thursday...

I first posted these photos back in August 2012 - Flowers and Haircuts on a Friday. They make me feel so warm and sunny I wanted to share them again. Aren't they gorgeous?...

I just love having fresh flowers in the house...

What's your favourite flower?
Do buy fresh flowers often?
Do you have a favourite arrangement?
Any great vase tips?...

Pretty Pink... Birthday morning tea...

It's not every day you turn 1. Because we are still renovating and it was down to the wire if we would be finished we decided to just have morning tea for E's 1st Birthday. We couldn't have as big a party as we had for H but we had to acknowledge it in some way so morning tea it was...

I couldn't resist doing some decorating and putting together some party fare... and of course any chance to take photos...I'm there...

There's nothing like a bit of pink!!

All the decorations are from the Hot Dollar shop... so many goodies to be had there...

The cupcakes are packet mix... and also pre bought frosting. So simple, easy and time effective.

Rather than make fairy bread we bought hundreds and thousand biscuits... I knew what wasn't eaten that day would be eaten later... they were a big hit...

The strawberries were a big hit and also help to balance all the party food...

Aren't the tulips gorgeous?... so pretty and happy...

Who doesn't love a party bag?!... even the big kids got one. I just can't help myself...

I had to share this one... it appears the Grandfathers got the memo... Navy and Tan was the order of the day. Great minds think alike... or is it fools never differ?!... hahaha.

A rainy day pick me up... Look at the gorgeousness...

I feel in need of some brightening... this weather (it's been raining all day), being inside with two small people all day and dealing with a vomit on natural flooring rug situation at the end of the day has left me feeling a little whacked.

So I'm brightening my evening by looking at some photos and I thought I'd share them here. I picked these Gardenias from my very own garden. I have dreamed of a garden filled with Gardenias for a very long time and I finally have one (well a garden bed anyway). I was able to pick this lovely arrangement and also keep enough in the garden.

I was so excited and grabbed the opportunity to take these photos of the pretties.... aren't they just gorgeous?!

I also love the little bud vases they are in...they look lovely non? They were a gift from my Aunt who found them in Inverell (Country, NSW) whilst there for work. The things you find where you least expect them...

After taking a crazy amount of photos from every angle they finally found a home here and I think they felt right at home. Their scent was out of this world... it was filling the room.

I just wish they had a longer shelf life. Their beauty and fragrance is so fleeting...

Do you love Gardenias as much as I do?...
How cute are these little vases?!...
What's your favourite flower?...

To me... they are a happy flower. Don't you think?...

I hope they put a smile on your face today... Jx

White Hyacinth...

I've never had Hyacinth's in the house before but I will definitely be buying them again as I love them. I wanted something I could put into my little test tube vases. Hyacinth's are perfect for this don't you think?

I wanted to share them with you as they make me smile. To me, they look elegant, pretty and happy...

I hope you enjoy them...

Have you had Hyacinth's in the house before? If so, how do you arrange them?

Have a great weekend everyone... Jx
